Contractor Stretcher Transport Driver

Location

New Port Richey, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Seminole.

Pay

$18/hr plus per‑trip incentive.

Schedule

Monday–Friday (Daytime). Full‑time and part‑time positions available.

About the role

My MediRides is seeking reliable and compassionate Stretcher Transport Drivers to safely transport patients to medical appointments, dialysis, and therapy sessions. The company provides paid in‑field training, a vehicle and fuel card, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from appointments.
• Provide professional, courteous service at all times.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections and report vehicle issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Report any moving violations to a supervisor immediately.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verified driving experience.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• 2+ years prior stretcher transport experience (preferred).
• EMT‑B or Paramedic certification (preferable).
• At least 30 years of age.
• Live within 30 minutes of the job location.
• Pass background check, drug screening, and MVR check.
• Able to lift/pull up to 50 lb, bend, and climb in/out of vehicles.
• Comfortable using GPS/technology.
• English fluency (read, write, speak).
