Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing RHEL scripts and schedules to ensure optimal performance of the SAS environment.
  • Develop new scripts to support evolving business needs and requirements.
  • Provide SAS consulting assistance to a diverse user base, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Perform problem determination and resolution for SAS-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end users.
  • Implement best practices in SAS coding techniques and architecture to improve system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various data sources, including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel, Hadoop, Dremio, Starburst, and others.
  • Document processes, scripts, and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
  • Stay updated with the latest SAS technologies and methodologies, including SAS Viya 3.5 and SAS Viya 4.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in SAS administration or related technologies are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

The Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) SAS Administration team is seeking a skilled SAS Administrator to support our SAS Grid enabled EBI n-tiered architecture within a RHEL/IIS/Windows client/server environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing RHEL scripts and schedules, developing new scripts as needed, and providing SAS consulting assistance to approximately 8000 end users. This role requires a strong understanding of SAS Grid architecture and installation, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and implement best practices in coding techniques.

Requirements

  • Proficient in SAS administration with a strong understanding of SAS Grid architecture.
  • Experience in maintaining and developing RHEL scripts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot SAS-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of end-user expertise.
  • Familiarity with various data sources and formats, including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel, Hadoop, Dremio, Starburst, ASCII, EBCDIC, and CLI interfaces.

Skills

  • Experience with SAS Viya 3.5 and SAS Viya 4.
  • Knowledge of best practices in SAS coding and architecture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
