About the Role
The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks applicants for a Research Intern (Unpaid Contracted Student Intern) for the 2026 Fall Semester to perform the duties listed below on a part-time basis. This internship is designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university.
Responsibilities
- Assist Research Office with research information management
- Assist with the development of the DCR Knowledge Management System (content organization and cataloging)
- Report for duty to the Boston Office one day weekly
Qualifications & Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Literature Search
- Content organization and cataloguing
- Interest in research related to conservation and recreation in parks and public lands
Schedule
- Start/End Date: 9/28/2026 - 11/20/2026
- Weekly Hours: 15 hours
