Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Contract Therapist to support the pilot implementation of our Measurement-Based Care (MBC) Therapy initiative. This role is designed to enhance patient outcomes by integrating real-time clinical data into brief, targeted therapeutic interventions. This position provides clinical, therapeutic services to patients involved in MAT, Psych, and/or BH services at PLH.

The therapist will deliver meaningful clinical interventions informed by patient-reported data to evaluate progress, provide ongoing support, and ensure patients are receiving coordinated effective care and services. This is a remote, part-time contract position starting at approximately 2 days per week, with the potential to expand into a full-time role based on program needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-demand (“on-call”) therapeutic support for patients attending MAT appointments
  • Review and interpret standardized assessment tools, including BAM-R, PHQ-9, Social Determinants of Health, and Patient Satisfaction Surveys
  • Compare current assessment results to baseline and prior scores to identify trends and clinical needs
  • Deliver brief, targeted therapeutic interventions including supportive counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Address ambivalence, reinforce recovery goals, and support behavioral change
  • Collaborate with patients to identify barriers to recovery and connect them with appropriate internal or external services
  • Document clinical interactions and relevant findings in accordance with organizational standards
  • Communicate clinically relevant insights to the care team as appropriate
  • Participate in feedback loops to refine and improve the MBC pilot model

Commitment, Schedule, and Compensation

  • Initial Commitment: Approximately 2 days per week
  • Work Type: Remote
  • Growth Potential: Opportunity to expand into a full-time role based on pilot success and organizational need
  • Compensation: $40-$50 per hour

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters level behavioral health clinician
  • Prefer fully licensed but not required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with substance use disorders and/or MAT populations
  • Proficiency in Motivational Interviewing and brief therapy models
  • Experience with measurement-based care or outcomes-informed treatment preferred
  • Comfortable interpreting standardized clinical assessments and applying findings in real time
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Additional Notes

This role is part of an innovative pilot program aimed at integrating measurement-based care into routine clinical practice. It is a clinical intervention role—not a screening or SBIRT-only function. The ideal candidate is excited about bridging data and clinical care, and contributing to the development of scalable, high-impact treatment models.
