Contract Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Review medical histories and conduct clinical screenings
• Establish therapy goals and discharge plans collaboratively
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapy activities and equipment
• Perform re-evaluations and adjust treatment as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Manage multiple patients efficiently in a home health setting
• Participate in continuing education and staff training

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an SLP, with geriatrics and home health experience preferred
• Current California SLP license and BLS certification
• Strong knowledge in general medicine, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, gastroenterology, and otolaryngology
