Contract Specialist III
About the role
The Contract Specialist III is responsible for negotiating and managing contracts that support a variety of business and technology-related projects. This role involves partnering with internal stakeholders, vendors, and legal partners to ensure contracts align with business objectives while managing commercial risk.
Responsibilities
- Review, redline, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions for a variety of IT-related agreements, including Professional Services, Statements of Work (SOWs), software licenses, SaaS, data licensing, hardware, and telecom.
- Analyze contractual provisions involving liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and other commercial risk areas.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including technical teams, Legal, Risk Management, Tax, and Procurement, throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate with outside counsel as needed to support contract negotiations and risk mitigation.
- Identify contractual risks and provide recommendations that balance business objectives with risk management.
- Manage multiple contract negotiations simultaneously and drive the timely execution of agreements.
- Ensure compliance with internal contracting standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain contract documentation and support ongoing vendor and stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
- Education: A bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in contract negotiation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, is required.
- Additional Skills: An understanding of contract risk concepts such as limitation of liability and indemnification is needed.
Qualifications
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements directly with vendors, suppliers, or contractors is necessary.
- Redlining experience is a mandatory requirement.
- The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience negotiating technology-related agreements, such as SaaS, software licensing, professional services, or data licensing.
- A background in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, legal operations, or contract management.
- Experience supporting large enterprise organizations.
- Experience collaborating with legal teams and external counsel.

Schedule
The schedule for this role is a 9/80 schedule, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and every other Friday off. Onsite work is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
