Contract Specialist - Hybrid (3 days in Office)

The Contracting Specialist at Agrace will play a crucial role in managing contracts between Agrace and external partners. This position involves serving as the main point of contact for reviewing customer requests, liaising with various departments, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and providing guidance on legal and commercial considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contract intake, review, negotiation, execution, and retention processes.

  • Work closely with Operational Leaders to establish contractual relationships and provide education on contracting policies and processes.

  • Draft, review, and lead negotiations to complete contracts.

  • Advise operational team members on key commercial and legal considerations.

  • Assist with interpreting existing contract language and developing contract strategies.

  • Ensure contract quality and effectiveness by collaborating with internal departments to align with business objectives.

  • Maintain and oversee agreement templates to ensure accuracy and compliance with changing regulations.

  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks through adherence to policies, compliance, and financial controls.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the contract lifecycle.

  • Implement improvements to the contract lifecycle management process, including expanding features within the contract management software system.

  • Coordinate with the Education Department to develop and maintain training materials for Contract Owners on both overall contract lifecycle and job-specific responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in contract management, business administration, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • 5+ years contracting administration experience.

  • Experience in business law and contract negotiations.

  • Paralegal certification, preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to exercise good business judgment.

  • Ability to identify and present recommendations on open contract issues to management and collaborate on seeking resolution.

  • Superior organizational skills to maintain order of files and prioritize work.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently produce a high-quality work product under tight deadlines.

  • Exposure to SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Cobblestone contracting software preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload to complete projects with minimal direction.

  • Flexibility in time and task to meet organizational needs.

  • Confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property maintained.
