About the position
Serves as a contract specialist responsible for pre-award and post-award contract, grants, and cooperative agreement actions, including price/cost analysis, negotiation, and administration for services, construction and architect-engineer (A-E) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Pre-award activities such as solicitation development, evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract administration
- Post-award activities such as contract compliance monitoring, reporting, and closeout
- Price/cost analysis for services, construction, and A-E requirements
- Negotiation of contract terms and conditions
- Administration of contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements
Requirements
- Experience in contract management
- Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and policies
- Ability to analyze cost data and prepare cost estimates
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in contract management
- Experience with federal contracting regulations and policies
- Experience with cost analysis and preparation of cost estimates
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
