Contract Specialist

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aid the government in executing source selections as per FAR 9.505-4, including coordinating meetings, developing source selection documentation (source selection plan, acquisition strategy, non-disclosure agreements), and drafting proposal evaluations.
• Provide contract and subcontract management support, assisting Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists with requests for proposals, technical evaluations, contract negotiation, administration, and execution.
• Offer contracts guidance and determinations; provide technical and operational leadership for program and business management teams.
• Advisory management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving.
• Assist in managing existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts and in developing and executing acquisition strategies for follow-on efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Typically requires 10 or more years’ experience in this type of program or position.
• Expert in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to assist the government with all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications and award, or incentive fee management.
• Past or present experience with SSC or mission partner space control or space situational awareness mission area programs is highly desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE

BATAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc. SALARY RANGE: $143,000–$250,000 Annual Salary
