Contract Security Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties required of a Contract Security Officer (CSO).
• Ensure continuous staffing coverage for assigned security posts and shifts.
• Monitor and enforce security procedures, policies, and site-specific requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and evaluations of security operations.
• Oversee and assist with facility access control operations.
• Verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials.
• Enforce TVA access control policies and procedures.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols.
• Maintain vigilance and professional conduct while on duty.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Coordinate responses with law enforcement, emergency services, and TVA personnel when necessary.
• Aid in emergency preparedness and response activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of successful field supervisory experience in one or more of the following: Civilian law enforcement, Military service, Security force operations, Commercial or industrial security environments.
• Acceptance of comparable leadership experience documented through evidence of equivalent experience is subject to approval by the Contract Technical Supervisor (CTS).
• High school diploma or GED required. Additional education in criminal justice, security management, law enforcement, military studies, or related fields is preferred.

• Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and reporting platforms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and security incidents.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment as required by post assignments.
