Responsibilities
- Perform all duties required of a Contract Security Officer (CSO).
- Ensure continuous staffing coverage for assigned security posts and shifts.
- Monitor and enforce security procedures, policies, and site-specific requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections and evaluations of security operations.
- Oversee and assist with facility access control operations.
- Verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials.
- Enforce TVA access control policies and procedures.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols.
- Maintain vigilance and professional conduct while on duty.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
- Coordinate responses with law enforcement, emergency services, and TVA personnel when necessary.
- Aid in emergency preparedness and response activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful field supervisory experience in one or more of the following: Civilian law enforcement, Military service, Security force operations, Commercial or industrial security environments.
- Acceptance of comparable leadership experience documented through evidence of equivalent experience is subject to approval by the Contract Technical Supervisor (CTS).
- High school diploma or GED required. Additional education in criminal justice, security management, law enforcement, military studies, or related fields is preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and staffing requirements.
- Knowledge of access control, patrol operations, incident response, and physical security principles.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and reporting platforms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and security incidents.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as required by post assignments.
