Contract Quality Control Material Handler

About the role
Based in Oakland, NJ, the Contract Quality Control Material Handler will be responsible for scanning then moving materials and verifying inventory. They will also perform basic inspection of incoming materials according to specs and assist in day-to-day tasks to fulfill work priorities.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and handle incoming materials and in-process/finished product as part of the Quality Assurance team.
- Perform inspections on materials, products, processes, or components for conformance to specifications, including first article, incoming materials, in-process, and final inspection.
- Record results on inspection forms and provide reports to the Quality Control Manager.
- Process Customer return (RMA) documentation and material depositions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform and support other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (GED) or higher degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer.
- Ability to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
- Ability to work smart in a fast-paced environment and in a team setting.
- Proactive thinking and resourceful planning and execution.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Pay
Expected Base Pay Range: $26.00 to $29.00 hourly.
