About the role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports, and a minimum of seven years of experience in health care delivery or operations in a managed care environment, customer relationship management, or a directly related field. Experience with health care regulatory compliance and filing, contract writing, health care operations, legal research, or insurance/health plan governance is preferred. A Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drafts and/or consults with the legal team on standard contract templates and language
- Responds to inquiries about standard contract templates and language
- Researches, compares, and summarizes contract rates and services
- Aids in the development of rate methodology and strategies
- Collaborates with various services lines to implement rate/contract strategies to improve access and availability and service delivery expansion
- Interprets and translates contract terms for internal and external stakeholders
- Negotiates and completes letters of agreement
- Monitors provider programs in Pay for Performance Agreements, Pay for Quality Agreements, Value Based Purchasing Contracts, and Total Cost of Care
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in health care delivery or operations in a managed care environment, customer relationship management, or a directly related field
- Experience with health care regulatory compliance and filing, contract writing, health care operations, legal research, or insurance/health plan governance is preferred
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification is also preferred
