Contract Manager (Hybrid)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Globe Life is seeking a Contract Manager to contribute to strategic sourcing processes, including market opportunity identification, strategy and portfolio development, contract negotiations, and contract implementation. The role involves participating in the legal review process, managing priorities, and developing contracting strategies to reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance internal stakeholder satisfaction.
This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).
- Competitively source technology spends through engagement of strategic suppliers and application of industry knowledge.
- In collaboration with the Director of Contract Management, facilitate the competitive bid process to include market research, design bid requirements and decision scorecards (with input for business), issue bid documents, facilitate all vendor Q&A, financial analysis, formal award decisions/announcements) and post award vendor management.
- Draft, negotiate, project manage and execute contractual documents including but not limited to master service agreements, statements of work, letter agreements, NDAs and purchase orders, etc.
- Measure and manage vendor performance relative to contracted service levels and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
- Work with Third Party Management on annual credit card spend migration projects.
- Work with Third Party Management in working with vendors to have updated agreement executed.
- Identify and convert specific vendors from credit card payment to company purchase order and invoice.
- Supplier management - supporting the evolution of supplier management through supplier scorecard development and supplier quarterly business reviews.
- Utilizes the appropriate support tools to drive results and deliver savings.
- Liaise with Information Technology to interpret technical specifications to commercial and corporate financial requirements.
- Responsible for ad hoc duties/projects as assigned by Director of Contract Management.
- Summarize and present business cases and agreements for executive review and approval.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings across the company to include the department of Information Technology.

What You Can Bring
- A BA/BS in business or related field.
- 5 years' experience in technology contracting, strategic sourcing or similar role.
- 5 years’ experience working with contracts and negotiations required.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in competitive bidding, and management of high-profile agreements.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly and concisely communicate information at multiple levels, adapting easily to change.
- Advanced strategic sourcing skills: Ability to manage multiple category strategies; RFP / RFI / RFQ, contract negotiations, vendor lifecycle management, understanding of risk mitigation principles, and understanding of various cost evaluation methods (TCO, ROI, etc.).
