Responsibilities
- Support Operations and contracts leadership in developing contract strategy and assisting in driving implementation of strategic contract opportunities.
- Supports contract negotiations and provides contractual expertise in implementation, execution, and administration for various types of contracts, including Fixed Price/Lump Sum, Time & Material, or Cost Reimbursable.
- Draft terms and conditions for confidentiality and teaming agreements, as well as pricing proposal conditions or assumptions. Suggest recommendations that are favorable to the organization.
- Performs reviews of proposed contracts and red-lines requested changes to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and increase favorable financial outcomes, and align with business strategies.
- Prepares formal contract correspondence and ensures it conforms to contractual terms and conditions, as well as internal management objectives of the business activities.
- Ensures compliance with contract policy and procedures, assists in ongoing reviews for introducing efficiencies and improvements.
- Interprets contract policies as well as operating practices and performance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field plus 6-10 years of directly related experience.
- Basic understanding of contractual terms and conditions such as indemnity, warranty, and performance acceptance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or knowledge of systems used for data management (CLM, SharePoint, Word, Excel).
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
