Duties Description

Afford assistance in performing a broad array of tasks pertaining to contractual, administrative, and fiscal management services. Duties could encompass acting as an agency liaison; offering technical support; negotiating, drafting, executing, and overseeing contracts; auditing and processing contract claims and vouchers; approving or rejecting contract payments; providing technical support; evaluating Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations for Bids (IFBs), or Sole/Single Source Procurements; and supervising staff.

  • Four years of experience managing contracts and related budgets, including negotiation with contractors and vendors; fiscal management, including bidding, payment, analysis, and fiscal reporting; contract development, including developing requests for proposals; contract execution, including securing signatory approval from control agencies; monitoring and review of contract terms.

Benefits

Salary is nonnegotiable. Candidates hired at the trainee level will be advanced to the full performance Contract Management Specialist 1 SG-18 following successful completion of the traineeship.

Pay

The position may be filled at the Contract Management Specialist Trainee 1 equated to SG-14 ($53,764), Contract Management Specialist Trainee 2 equated to SG-16 ($59,994), or full performance Contract Management Specialist 1 SG-18 ($66,951) based on the candidate’s education, experience, and previous state service.

Schedule

Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks. After the initial 8 calendar week restriction, if an employee’s primary residence location, duties, and work performance are aligned with telecommuting and operational needs they may be allowed to do so. Generally, OSC employees may telecommute up to 5 days per pay period but may be approved to telecommute less.
