About the role

Simplicity is the goal at Simplexity. We specialize in product development engineering, helping leading tech companies simplify their products to reduce costs and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and debug new products, machines, and instruments
  • Solder, build cables, and perform electrical assembly and troubleshooting
  • Use CAD tools and documentation to understand how subsystems should be assembled
  • Document work done and any issues encountered in a cloud-based defect tracking system
  • Organize build area and keep a clean shop

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required
  • An associate or vocational school degree, or equivalent military experience, is preferred
  • Two or more years of relevant experience are necessary
  • The ability and willingness to learn new technical skills are important
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision is valued
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills combined with attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively is crucial
  • Experience in SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus
  • Knowledge of and safe use of machine tools and fabrication of parts is desirable
  • Understanding of electrical circuits and schematics is beneficial
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is advantageous

Other Experience Desired

  • Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay commensurate with experience, ranging from $25 to $45 per hour
  • The position is expected to be part-time with some full-time bursts, depending on project and build needs
  • Holidays and PTO are pro-rated based on hours worked
  • No other benefits provided for employees who work less than 30 hours per week
  • If the position ends up being over 30 hours per week on a regular basis, you would qualify for:
