About the Role
Provides support and assistance to those responsible for case processing and coordination of judicial activities in the Colorado Judicial Department. This position operates on an intermittent, as-needed basis specifically aligned with the court's jury trial calendar. Time availability depends entirely on active trials coming to court, meaning there may be several weeks or months between assignments. This position is for Logan County Combined Court but if the applicant is able to travel there may be a need to cover jury trials in one of our other six counties.
Responsibilities
- Filing, copying materials, scanning documents
- Serving as a receptionist
- Preparing the courtroom for proceedings and maintaining an orderly courtroom
- May include some data entry
- Provides customer service
- May occasionally require travel
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high precarious places
- Occasionally handles emergency or crisis situations
- Frequently subject to interruptions, and multiple calls and inquiries
- Noise level is usually moderate
