Contract - Assembly Technician, level 4

Summary

Redwire Space Components is seeking a Contract - Assembly Technician for their Marlborough, MA facility. This position is for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension or conversion.

Responsibilities

• Working under a microscope to build mechanical / optical / electrical assemblies utilizing assembly drawings, procedures, and specifications
• Taking and recording precision measurements using calipers, drop indicators, or optical measurement scopes
• Soldering components or leads per IPC J-STD-001
• Mixing and applying polymeric materials such as epoxies as required in assembly procedures
• Maintaining assembly build records and signoffs as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 6 or more years’ of experience building precision optical / electrical / mechanical assemblies to the highest quality standards
• Experience soldering electrical/electronic components and assemblies (IPC J-STD-001 certification a plus)
• Experience working in a lab/clean room environment

Desired Skills

• Previous experience working under a microscope with delicate materials
• Experience with mixing polymeric materials by weight and/or volume
• Comfortable using a computer to retrieve drawings and procedures from our document management system
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay

• Pay Range: $29.00 - $37.00 per hour
• Redwire determines pay based on local, national, and industry-specific survey data, external equity, and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index.
