Contract AR/Collections Specialist

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in Columbus, IN in search of a contract AR/Collections Specialist to start ASAP. This person will need to work primarily onsite. This is a full time, contract position expected to last 1-3 months. Paying $22-24/hr depending on level of experience. Responsibilities Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding customer balances.Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and payment status.Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account inquiries.Apply customer payments accurately and timely.Reconcile customer accounts and investigate unapplied cash items.Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing and collection-related concerns.Prepare account statements and other collection-related reports.Assist with month-end closing activities and AR reporting as needed.Ensure compliance with company policies and established credit and collection procedures.
