About the Role

Join a high-impact Contracts team supporting advanced defense and national security programs at General Atomics (GA), a leading resource for high-technology systems development. As a Sr. Contracts Administrator, you'll serve as a key business partner to program management, finance, legal, and government customers, leading complex contract negotiations and administration across a diverse portfolio of DoD and federal programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support one or more business units in the management of contracts, including large and complex Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)-based contracts (e.g., DoD contracts such as CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, Cost reimbursable, T&M, FFP, and OTAs).
  • Oversee proposal review, contract preparation, negotiation, and administration, ensuring compliance with export classification, foreign restrictions, and company policy.
  • Review bids and proposals to ensure alignment with company policy and customer solicitation requirements.
  • Identify contract issues, respond to complex inquiries, and develop innovative solutions to contractual challenges.
  • Review, interpret, recommend, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary administrative contact on assigned contracts, representing the organization in negotiations and modifications of standard and non-standard contracts.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for non-disclosure, teaming, license, and memorandum of understanding agreements.
  • Advise management on contractual rights and obligations, providing interpretation of terms and conditions.
  • Participate in cost and pricing reviews with program management and customer representatives.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on contracts.
  • Make presentations and act as a primary contact with customers and external organizations.
  • Provide direction to professional or technical staff on contract matters and may participate in the selection, development, and training of contract staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations wherever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree along with fifteen or more years of progressive professional experience in contract administration. Equivalent professional contract experience may substitute for education.
  • Experience with large and complex FAR-based contracts, including a variety of DoD contract types/vehicles, is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of contract principles, theories, concepts, and regulations, with broad experience applying FAR and FAR supplements.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to document and report findings to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and external parties.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple work phases and lead less experienced professional employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, with working knowledge of SAP desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including extended hours and travel as required.

Requirements

Top Secret clearance with SCI is required.

Pay

Salary range: $116,480 - $208,505
