A Day in the Life

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys keeping things organized, catching details others may miss, following processes, and working collaboratively with multiple teams to ensure contracts and related information are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, organize, review, and maintain provider contracts, agreements, amendments, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate the contract lifecycle from initial request through review, approval, execution, and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.
  • Monitor contract status, expiration dates, renewals, amendments, and other important deadlines.
  • Ensure executed agreements are properly documented, stored, and communicated to appropriate internal teams.
  • Review contracts for completeness, accuracy, required signatures, dates, rates, terms, and other critical information.
  • Assist Contracting and Provider Relations teams with provider agreement workflows and administrative needs.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external providers to obtain missing information, documentation, or signatures.
  • Follow up on outstanding contracts and agreements to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with data entry and updates related to provider contracts and agreements within internal systems.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies between contracts, systems, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with reporting, audits, contract documentation requests, and other administrative projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive healthcare, provider, client, and business information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Provider Relations, Contracting, Operations, Claims, Legal, and other internal teams as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in contract administration, healthcare administration, provider relations, insurance, claims, or a related administrative role preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and typing speed.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Flexibility between competing priorities and ability to adapt.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong follow-through and accountability.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, research information, and solve problems independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, document-management systems, and other technology platforms.
  • Ability to learn healthcare terminology, provider contracting processes, and internal systems quickly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
