Continuous Improvement - Training & Qualifications Manager

About the role

The Continuous Improvement- Training & Qualifications Manager position is available in Phoenix, AZ with relocation assistance. This role is critical to driving Lean Manufacturing, Focus Improvement, and Training and Qualification initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement CI work processes at a site-wide level, including Kaizen, productivity cycles, RCA, and more.
• Use Lean Six Sigma expertise to coach and facilitate activities that eliminate complex losses and achieve productivity targets.
• Ensure CI and T&Q work processes are delivering results consistently and effectively.
• Oversee the automatic data collection system and train the team on its use and functionality.
• Analyze and reduce planned and unplanned losses, focusing on TEEP and OEE metrics.
• Own the Reliability Improvement Plan Work Processes, coaching others to analyze data and trends.
• Work with other function leaders to help them achieve their zero loss objectives.
• Lead internal and external benchmarking and replication activities.
• Collaborate with facility operations and corporate leaders to drive Lean/CI initiatives.
• Maintain and communicate metrics that record successes and track progress.
• Support engineering initiatives related to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing plant leadership experience as a production manager, manager, or similar role in a consumer product manufacturing facility.
• Experience with CI tools like Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and other engagement and process improvement techniques.
• Experience with change management initiatives to improve training and qualification programs.
• A four-year degree in engineering, operations management, or equivalent experience.
• Great analytical abilities to understand complex manufacturing systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule to support a 24/7 operation.
