What You’ll Do
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with plant leadership to build technical capability and close skill gaps across the workforce.
- Facilitate Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, PDCA).
- Analyze data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement standard work and visual management systems.
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
- Conduct regular shop floor observations across shifts to identify gaps.
- Lead root cause analysis (5-Why) and structured problem solving.
- Track and report progress against KPIs and savings targets.
Technical Training & Development (Secondary Focus)
- Assess workforce skill levels and identify training and development needs.
- Support onboarding and training programs for new hires and existing employees.
- Partner with supervisors and QA to improve job knowledge, certifications, and safety behaviors.
- Coach employees on best practices, work processes, and hazard awareness.
- Help develop and support train-the-trainer and mentoring programs.
- Align training initiatives to operational metrics (TRIR, DART, turnover, productivity).
- Collaborate with corporate resources to deploy training programs and tools.
