Continuous Improvement Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: Spearhead initiatives to enhance the operational efficiency of our manufacturing plant using proven Lean methodologies and principles such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM, and Kaizen.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive cross-functional processes and lead productivity improvement projects aligned with the plant's strategic objectives.
- Project Management: Utilize effective project management structures to implement improvement methodologies, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines. Assess project plans, resource projections, risk plans, and effectiveness metrics for each initiative.
- Communication and Reporting: Regularly communicate project progress and concerns, promptly identifying issues that may impact completion. Deliver metric reporting and presentations to align with business goals and objectives.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, acting as a change agent to instill a Lean Six Sigma atmosphere and continuous improvement culture. Mentor staff to ensure adherence to Operational Excellence standards and provide training on Lean Six Sigma tools.
Qualifications
- Approximately 3 years of experience with Lean/Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to define business improvement strategy, manage projects from concept to implementation, and act as a change agent to foster a continuous improvement culture.
- Strong leadership skills, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and the ability to establish priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in taking initiative, a hands-on approach, and excellent cross-functional facilitation skills to drive continuous improvement.
What we offer
The compensation for this position will typically range from $74,000- $120,000 annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
