About the role

Champion the continuous improvement of the production work environment and all facility production processes. Manage the entire communication center program for the facility. Provide process support as requested for opportunities which fall under team member experience umbrella. Serve as the Lean expert as needed to continuously improve production and process efficiencies, implement lean tools, and coordinate training programs as needed to support all the above.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data for daily slideshows – overtime reports, OSHA recordable information, Quality Assurance audits, Turnover information, hire date anniversaries, birthdays, weekly safety walk scores, weekly housekeeping scores.
  • Transfer data into spreadsheets to track history and identify areas of improvement.
  • Create spreadsheets and graphs to evaluate data in an easy-to-understand format; link this information to the slideshows so it can be shared with the production team daily.
  • Create PowerPoint slideshows for use daily – this will include inspirational slides, safety slides, daily tailgate info and any plant news.
  • Download updated slideshows onto flash drives every afternoon then plug them into all the TVs –ensuring they are ready for the morning tailgate meetings.
  • Collect Safety, Quality, Housekeeping and Connection data and transfer to Area Manager weekly evaluations and other paperwork by Friday at noon.
  • Work with Plant Manager of facility to identify Lean projects then work with facility fabricator, if needed, to expedite applications.
  • Interact with the Production Managers and Area Mangers within plant to identify Lean projects then prioritize and execute a game plan to implement.
  • Coach all team members if you see any unsafe acts, make sure team members are working in a safe manner and are wearing their PPE.
  • Lead the teams to success, engage the team members, help them to learn, grow, and be their very best.
  • Lead by example.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new hires as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, 1-2 years’ prior experience preferred.
  • Continuous willingness to learn, grow, and gain understanding as a leader in our organization
  • Effective motivation skills and techniques to encourage team to meet performance objectives
  • Honesty in all situations to cultivate an environment of trust
  • Fairness in all decisions and when holding team members accountable
