Primary Duties

  • Supports the execution of site-level continuous improvement initiatives that improve process predictability, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Partners with operational leaders and frontline employees to identify improvement opportunities and assist in implementing standardized work practices.
  • Facilitates improvement events, training sessions, and hands-on activities that strengthen understanding and use of continuous improvement tools.
  • Conducts on-site observations to identify non-standard operating conditions and assists teams in restoring processes to expected performance levels.
  • Aids in the development, documentation, and communication of improvement plans, performance indicators, and project updates.
  • Supports data-driven decision making by gathering and interpreting operational information related to efficiency, quality, and workflow.
  • Ensures improvement activities align with safety, regulatory, and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field; 3+ years of experience supporting process improvement or operational efficiency in a manufacturing or operations environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning or related industries preferred.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts, including waste identification and standardized work practices.
  • Ability to facilitate improvement activities, group problem-solving sessions, and collaborative discussions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational information and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to influence employees at all levels through effective communication, coaching, and relationship building.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and methods for evaluating operational effectiveness.
  • Ability to support change management initiatives and encourage adoption of improved work practices.

Mental And Physical Functions

  • Ability to analyze information, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and movement throughout manufacturing areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. during site visits.
  • Regular communication with leadership, supervisors, and frontline employees to support improvement initiatives.
  • Occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations as required.

Work Environment

  • Performs work primarily on-site in an office setting with routine visits to manufacturing areas.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, moving mechanical equipment, and industrial environments during plant visits.
  • Use of personal protective equipment required when entering designated areas.
  • May require overnight travel in support of operational needs.
