Continuous Improvement Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate engineering, maintenance, and innovation activities in accordance with customer requirements, current standards, and tools.
• Adhere to safety principles at all times.
• Execute the organization's values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards to achieve the vision of Schnellecke Logistics.
• Apply best practices in the area of responsibility to ensure robust and efficient processes.
• Improve business processes and develop warehouse strategies based on customer requirements and resource optimization.
• Develop and implement manpower files and update them as needed.
• Coordinate and direct projects, creating detailed plans and integrating technical activities.
• Support Lean and Kaizen initiatives, including the initiation and management of internal LEAN systems.
• Conduct analysis of efficiency data, monitor progress towards training goals, and manage the Idea Management program.
• Perform time studies, upload data into SharePoint, and conduct deficiency analyses.
• Coach and support leadership in Lean processes and audit and report on Lean processes.
• Train personnel on LEAN culture, Kaizen, and Idea Management.
• Work with operations managers and engineers to ensure efficiency reports accurately reflect workload.
• Continuously improve best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
• 2 years lean management experience
• 5 years team leading
• 2 years budget and administration
• Must be able to work in a plant and office environment
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, vibration, wet and/or humid weather conditions
• Frequent exposure to occasional loud noise levels
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting for long periods
• Ability to bend and/or reach as required
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the shop floor
