Continuous Improvement Manager
Why Snak King
Snak King is one of the largest snack food manufacturers in the United States. Family-founded in 1978 and headquartered in City of Industry, California, we produce a full range of snacks for our own brands and private-label partners. With roughly 650 employees and more than 600,000 square feet of manufacturing space, we combine national scale with the pace and hands-on culture of a privately held company.
About the role
In this role you will have real ownership and visibility. Your work will directly improve safety, efficiency, and results on the plant floor — and you will see the impact of your ideas.
- Hands-on culture — engineers spend time where the work happens.
- Clear impact — ideas turn into measurable results on the floor and the P&L.
- Growth opportunity — path into senior engineering and operations leadership roles.
Responsibilities
As a Continuous Improvement / Process Engineer at our City of Industry plant, you will drive process and capital improvements that make operations safer, faster, and more efficient. Roughly half your time will focus on core continuous improvement work; the other half will be leading projects end-to-end — from opportunity identification through execution and results. This is a high-visibility role for an engineer who wants to be on the floor and see their ideas delivered.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, and variability while improving yield, throughput, quality, and safety.
- Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks and losses, and implement data-driven changes.
- Identify improvement and capital opportunities and build the business case to prioritize them.
- Scope and manage projects from concept through commissioning, including budgets, timelines, and vendor management.
- Support installation, startup, and optimization of new equipment and lines; help develop SOPs and training.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and R&D to sustain results.
- Track KPIs, quantify savings, and communicate progress to plant and corporate leadership.

- Demonstrated ability to scope and deliver process or capital projects on time and on budget, including managing vendors and contractors.
