Continuous Improvement Engineer- Black Belt
About the role
As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. Your work ensures that our customers' products are stored, handled, and delivered with precision.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma Knowledge for continuous improvement project execution.
- Manage the site's Continuous Improvement (CI) program for quality and productivity, including the management of Kaizen activities and Lean Six projects.
- Align project portfolios resulting from the Value Stream Analysis activity to meet both Production System Savings targets and the site's productivity improvement targets.
- Ensure savings for the site are validated with financial controllers and maintain data integrity.
- Support the development of productivity management tools within the site to ensure measurement and monitoring of productivity at process and site levels.
- Develop Kuehne and Nagel Excellence levels in the site from Blue through Gold.
- Work with the National MBB in the development and coaching of the Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts.
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Lean Six Black Belt certification.
- At least 5-10 years of continuous improvement experience.
- At least 5-10 years in a Warehousing environment.
- At least 2-5 years of Project Management experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.
