About the role
This position leads the application of a variety of principles, systems, and tools toward the sustainable improvement of key performance metrics, based on continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Scientific Management. The focus is on driving long-term change in organizational culture.
Responsibilities
Essential Accountabilities
- Lead the deployment of continuous improvement at the assigned site (40% of role).
- Lead training and improvement activities.
- Plan and track continuous improvement activities.
Secondary Accountabilities
- Conduct all business-related activities on behalf of Eberspaecher within applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support for, and ensure compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in quality-related tasks; follow ENA policies related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; seek ways to improve and promote quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum five years’ experience in Operational Excellence in automotive manufacturing.
- Minimum three years’ experience supervising employees.
- Prior experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
