Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

PSC Industries is located in Milledgeville, Georgia. This position is exempt and full-time, with a start time of 8:00 AM. The role is not remote.

Responsibilities

• Follow the C.I.P. philosophy.
• Meet yearly cost savings goals.
• Involves employees with cost savings projects.
• Conducts LEAN APPLICATION projects (including Kaizen events, Kanban systems, 5S, Process Flow, Production Smoothing, etc).
• Collects information and data to report detailed production efficiencies.
• Initiates Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) to maintain and improve equipment performance.
• Ensures efficiency and continuous improvement of business processes and manufacturing systems.
• Performs thorough analyses and proposes improvements to process, plant, and labor utilization.
• Facilitates Facility layout reviews and improvements for optimal flow.
• Supports Warehouse layout for efficient product flow.

Requirements

• Prefer Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree but considers combination of experience and education.
• AutoCAD experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Background in Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, Kaizen, 5-S, and Six Sigma methodology.

Qualifications

Prefer Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree but will consider combination of experience and education. AutoCAD experience required. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Good written and oral communication skills. Detail oriented. Strong problem-solving skills. Background that includes exposure to Lean Mfg., Kanban, Kaizen, 5-S, and Six Sigma methodology.
