Continuous Improvement Engineer

Seeking entry-level Continuous Improvement Engineers to support a new distribution and logistics operation. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates interested in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and operational excellence within a warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Identify process inefficiencies and production bottlenecks.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Analyze operational data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with operations teams to improve workflows and productivity.Support Lean initiatives including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Kanban.Develop SOPs, process documentation, and improvement plans.Monitor KPIs and measure improvement effectiveness.Participate in cross-functional process optimization projects.Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to support operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, or related field.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience Internships, co-ops, or projects involving Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Warehouse Operations.Exposure to Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, PDCA, 5S, Kanban, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Merrillville, IN. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
