About the role
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician position is located within Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division. The hourly wage range is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Shift hours are from 8am to 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Makes process improvements through attending Tier Meetings and collecting and analyzing 5S, productivity, and other manufacturing data to improve safety, productivity, 5S, and cost.
- Works closely with manufacturing and engineering functions to fill gaps, quickly implement solutions, and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Assists with action items assigned to the OPEX function.
- Trains plant personnel in lean manufacturing tools and activities.
- Implements visual controls throughout the facility or product line such as marking floors, labeling, shadow boards, and information boards.
- Supports training documentation for product line(s) and supporting documents like methods sheets, training videos, visual reference materials.
- Supports Eaton’s Industry 4.0 strategy.
- Leads various kaizen events based around product line requests, CI, 5S.
- Maintains monitoring of success of implemented ideas and programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing environment experience.
- Previous experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with leading RIE’s/Kaizen/Manufacturing Engineering Capital Projects and other CI Activities in manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with Lean manufacturing tools and language.
