Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site contents packout services at residential and commercial loss locations.
  • Carefully handle, wrap, pad, box, and label customer belongings to prevent damage during transport and storage.
  • Create detailed inventory records using company software, written logs, and photographic documentation.
  • Identify and separate items for cleaning, restoration, disposal, or specialty handling.
  • Safely load and unload contents into company vehicles for transport to cleaning facilities or storage warehouses.
  • Protect customer property and home interiors during packout operations using proper materials and techniques.
  • Work efficiently with team members to complete packout projects according to company timelines and quality standards.
  • Evaluate contents condition and determine appropriate packing methods and materials.
  • Utilize protective wrapping, padding, and specialty packaging for fragile or high-value items.
  • Maintain clear labeling systems to ensure accurate item tracking and return during packback.
  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of electronics, artwork, antiques, and specialty items.
  • Aid in cleaning processes as assigned, including hard contents cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning preparation, electronics cleaning, textile and soft goods processing.
  • Follow cleaning protocols and restoration procedures to safely restore customer belongings.
  • Assist with warehouse operations including staging, organizing, and storing packed contents.
  • Maintain accurate storage labeling and location tracking systems.
  • Help prepare items for delivery and packback once restoration work is complete.
  • Ensure warehouse spaces remain clean, organized, and safe for operations.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and packing equipment in clean and working condition.
  • Ensure packout supplies are stocked and ready for field use.
  • Report equipment issues or shortages to supervisors promptly.
  • Follow company safety policies and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to safe lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of potentially hazardous environments including fire, smoke, water, or mold affected properties.
  • Comply with all company operational procedures and restoration industry best practices.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful presence while working in customer homes or businesses.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with clients when necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in restoration, packout services, moving, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail when documenting and handling customer belongings.
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple items and inventory records.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and job site conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs regularly, with team assistance for heavier items.
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and moving throughout job sites.
  • Ability to work in residential, commercial, and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to work in environments affected by fire, smoke, water, or mold damage (PPE provided).

Schedule & Availability

  • Full-time position.
  • Hours may vary depending on project schedules and workload.
  • Overtime, weekends, and on-call may be required during large loss events or peak workload periods.
