Content Writer

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid 2 days a week)

About the role

AT&T is looking for two senior content editors to support business and consumer blogs. This role will report to the blog manager and apply editing best practices, including ensuring accessibility standards and meeting corporate brand requirements. It includes helping ensure blog content writers have the reliable, verified information needed to produce quality content. The senior content editor will also be responsible for monitoring, collecting, and delivering blog performance reports.

The ideal candidate will have experience translating technology research into digestible, conversational copy, working in an editorial environment, and understanding the content production process.

Responsibilities

• Edit a variety of content types, including blog articles, infographics, eBooks, and audio and video scripts.
• Ensure best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and editorial style, including the corporate brand style.
• Write for a variety of content types.
• Research and fact-check for all content types – from consumer thought leadership to technology for business.
• Work with SEO team to incorporate key search terms into content with focus on web traffic and engagement/performance.
• Network to identify and recruit subject matter experts for content production.
• Able to communicate and negotiate to attain the needed information and reviews by the established deadline.
• Collaborate with other teams and organizations to ensure a smooth publication schedule.
• Monthly reporting of blog performance metrics, including creating graphics and discerning the data story.
• Create PowerPoint presentations for executive reporting.
• Write content, as needed.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Extensive blog writing experience.
• A journalistic background for an established brand and experience writing in AP style.
• Recent experience, with a portfolio of active digital links within the past two years.
• A deep understanding of writing for SEO and performance metrics.
• Comfort with including AI and LLMs in writing development and research.
• The ability to write in a high-volume, research-based environment.
• A willingness to work a hybrid schedule in Dallas.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SEO and SEO tools.
• Knowledge of analytics tools, like Adobe Analytics or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Must have writing experience in the following areas: blogs, AP style, journalism AP style writing, and SEO understanding.
