Responsibilities
- Develop social media content plans for clients
- Identify and develop content for each channel, capturing the appropriate voice and tone for the brand or executive
- Apply strategic/creative thinking skills to gain insight and devise content strategy
- Manage clients’ social media channels
- Develop, maintain and update the social content calendar; develop timelines, distribute/post content, manage deadlines
- Monitor social channels and identify real-time engagement opportunities discovered via social listening; act upon opportunities
- Identify negative/risky content and/or commentary by followers; take action to minimize impact to the client
- Copywriting: Translate complex concepts across nuanced subjects into digestible social content
- Establish and maintain a client’s/brand’s social media voice and tone
- Manage content reviews with little to no oversight and maintain best in class standards with team, providing comprehensive and thoughtful feedback to team members as required
- Establishes content creation best practices and guidelines with teams, liaising with internal content studio/design teams as needed
- Monitor and analyze program results: Compile reports for clients across various program activities
- Craft strong executive summaries for senior stakeholders
- Deep understanding of KPIs and social metrics
- Translate data into actionable insights and identify trends over time to craft thoughtful optimization recommendations for improved performance
- Understand the resources and tools needed to achieve the clients’ social media marketing objectives; complete tasks that meet objectives
- Understand the intricacies of established and emerging social channels
- Optimize social strategy and messaging to effectively engage with relevant audiences
- Craft content appropriate for different audiences and different social channels
- Collaboratively and autonomously plan and develop content to drive engagement on social channels
- Understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends, and use the information to develop strategic social media content plans
- Manage multiple projects for multiple clients in diverse industries
- Travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquarters
- Serve as a primary client contact
- Lead client calls, meetings, presentations and client brainstorms; attend client events
- Accommodate and anticipate client needs; make appropriate recommendations to clients
- Respond to requests for information from clients in a timely manner
- Share relevant articles/trends with clients, along with ways to implement/impact their business
- Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients
Qualifications
- B.A. in Marketing, Public Relations or the like
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing brand social channels, including strategy and planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprinklr) and social listening/analytics platforms (e.g. NetBase, Radian6, SimplyMeasured)
- Excellent social-first writing and editing skills
Compensation
The target range of base compensation for this role is $70,000-90,000 annually, and may be eligible for overtime pay. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
