Content Specialist (ELA)

About the role
This is an ELA-focused role. The Content Specialist is responsible for the delivery of customized pre-sales presentations in collaboration with their sales partners. This delivery requires a strong content and pedagogy background and ongoing growth in this area. Presentation planning is also part of the role, enhanced by conversations with customers to provide highly content-connected solutions. Additionally, Content Specialists frequently support pre-sales content-related work for Marketing, Product Management & Strategy, Ed Platform Development, and other initiatives such as Getting Started Assignments for Back to School Sales and pilot support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-sales webinars tailored to customer and sales needs (supporting National PPC sales).
- Deliver live pre-sales customer presentations customized to customer and sales needs in large revenue accounts.
- Create Camtasia videos for Request For Product (RFP) submissions, sales opportunities, and pilots.
- Deliver Getting Started trainings supporting Services partners.
- Partner with the Account Executive in pre-sales customer conversations to explore solution opportunities and recommend programs and services.
- Learn two or more content areas as requested.
- Navigate Salesforce, Outlook, evaluations, and reports as required.
- Demonstrate understanding of assigned disciplines including core, supplemental, and intervention products, as well as associated technology.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Solution Support Group Directors, peers, and Service managers to understand client needs and transfer knowledge to pre-sales and post-sales assignments.
- Customize the sales message with awareness of customer needs, campaign issues, and competitive knowledge.
- Adjust presentations to the needs and responses of the audience.
- Handle customer questions and overcome objections.
- Demonstrate product knowledge to position products effectively, aligning with market issues, curriculum trends, and customer needs.
- Utilize knowledge of competitors’ products to enhance product positioning.
- Communicate customer needs to the Account Executive and Manager to capitalize on sales opportunities and position products effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum); Graduate Degree preferred.
- Bilingual skills are highly advantageous.
- Five years of K-12 teaching experience in a subject area relevant to the position.
- ELA background is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Engaging and persuasive presentation skills.
- Digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, and Camtasia.
- Collaboration skills.
- Highly organized and able to transfer strategies into actions that deliver results.
- Work from a home office with irregular hours, including weekends, and travel up to 30%-40%.
- Must reside near a major airport.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements
- Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).

Pay
$85,000 - $90,000+ sales incentives.
Location: Remote (Atlanta and Charlotte locations only).
