Content & Narrative Lead

Trulioo · Denver, CO · 2 wk ago
RemoteRemoteMarketingFull-time

About the role

Trulioo is hiring the person who builds the public case for why continuous intelligence beats a one-time stamp of approval, and who makes Trulioo the name people associate with that idea before a competitor claims it first. This role is expected to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, enhance decision-making, and continuously optimize how work is performed. This will be a full-time, permanent position, preferably working out of one of our offices on a hybrid model (3 days per week in the office), but could be done remotely for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Build the story and own it everywhere it needs to live: PR, thought leadership, and an editorial cadence that actually ships, not one that lives in a content calendar nobody opens.
  • Take Trulioo's category language (verified identity versus verified risk, defensible decisioning, a system of trust) and turn it into something a CRO or CCO repeats back to us unprompted.
  • Own the website as a narrative surface, not a features list. Ensure the homepage communicates Trulioo’s value clearly.
  • Turn Trulioo's data on fraud patterns, identity risk, and verification trends into original research and benchmark reports that make journalists call us first.
  • Push the work past the page. Build a video and multimedia approach where a founder story, a conference clip, and a long-form report all sound like the same company.
  • Build brand agents: working systems for voice, tone, and messaging that the team and AI tools can use consistently.
  • Create a real feedback loop between what ships and what lands, shaping content based on what moves a CCO from aware to convinced and what AI surfaces.
  • Manage agency partners and hire, ramp, and direct a lean editorial team to build ideation, workflow, and social listening agents.
  • Write and edit high-impact pieces yourself; AI is an enabler but shouldn’t replace the brand’s humanity.
  • Prep executives and internal spokespeople for press and narrative-sensitive moments, partnering with the risk team to stay ahead of regulations.
  • Work closely with product and product marketing to ensure launches carry the narrative forward.

Requirements

  • Experience building an editorial voice from scratch, not just scaling an existing one.
  • Ability to build agents that improve workflow quality, not just inflate quantity.
  • Opinions and experience on where AI helps content and where it flattens it, with the ability to defend that line under questioning.
  • Preference for shipping quickly and sharpening in public over waiting for perfection.
  • Desire for a small team and real leverage, not just managing a large team.
  • Deep familiarity with regulatory, fintech, or compliance trade coverage, with a point of view on where the category is headed.
  • Understanding that everything is content.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building a content channel, newsletter, or internal platform with its own following.
  • Background in fintech, identity, cybersecurity, or another regulated B2B category.
  • Experience in a PR or brand agency (especially if you left due to frustration with bloat and built something better in-house).
  • A fresh perspective on utilizing agencies and contractors alongside AI to enable scale and experiment with new mediums.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement plans with company match.
  • Paid time off and parental leave.
  • Annual education & training stipend (equivalent to $1,000 in local currency).
  • Flexible hybrid working environment with weekly lunches, quality coffee, and regular social events.
  • Wellness workshops, events, and a complimentary Headspace subscription.
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for diverse backgrounds and allies.
  • Offices with parent rooms, on-site gyms, comfortable lounges, and adaptable workstations.

Schedule

Hybrid model with staff typically working three days per week at a hub location (Vancouver, San Diego, or Dublin).

Interview Process

Applications require a human-crafted response to the following prompt:

  • A paragraph on the shift from one-time identity verification to continuous monitoring, written for a room of chief risk officers.
  • The same idea, reframed as an opening line for a public audience (e.g., blog article, LinkedIn post).

Process includes:

  • 30-minute recruiter interview.
  • 45-minute hiring manager interview.
  • 60-minute panel interview focused on AI-native thinking.
  • 30-minute final leadership interview.
