Responsibilities
- Design, edit and test clear, compelling in-product language to help users and teams meet their goals.
- This includes product flows, interface language, education materials, product names, navigational nomenclature, terminology, taxonomies and other content across Meta products and experiences.
- Apply systems thinking to the product, whether it’s defining extensible design system guidance, conducting audits of existing experiences or creating information architecture.
- Use your familiarity with how code works in software. This may involve doing things like updating language in code with internal tools, reviewing code to ensure the in-product language is as intended, or creating the logic to personalize the experience for a user.
- Give and solicit feedback from your peers from every discipline, in service of building the best products.
- Create high-fidelity design mocks and sometimes prototypes using components in Figma, and use them to drive decision-making with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate daily with peers across disciplines, including engineering, design, research, marketing and data science, to take products from conception to launch.
- Facilitate sprints and workshops to help align teams around a common problem to solve, goal, purpose, or range of solutions.
- Partner with our internationalization team to ensure product experiences are of the highest quality in every language.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and lead product decisions, team direction and strategy.
- Independently and proactively identify and work on projects that span multiple teams. This may involve driving alignment for key leaders, other stakeholders and product strategy.
- Create internal networks to build community, provide mentorship and develop skills of other content designers.
Qualifications
- 9+ years’ experience in UX/Content Design.
- Examples of wireframes, design mocks or prototypes authored using design tools, that have been used to express concepts and drive solutions with leaders from all disciplines.
- Expertise with simplifying and persuasively communicating complex ideas to company leaders.
- Familiarity with tools for managing and updating content at scale.
- Examples of work in design systems and systems thinking.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and creating projects with minimal direction and handling a large degree of ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements).
- Flex-ready operating model — proven ability to context-switch across projects, partner orgs, and problem altitudes (from high-level strategy to in-product UX writing) while maintaining quality and momentum.
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews).
- AI-native content design fluency — experience with model design, generative AI logic, and defining assistant behavior and tone at the systems layer (not just surface-level copy).
- Senior IC leadership — ability to seamlessly step into complex, ambiguous spaces and lead content direction without heavy ramp time, including workstreams on the critical path for major product launches.
- Cross-functional leadership — can serve as the CD lead on a workstream, earning trust from product, engineering, and design partners quickly.
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
