Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Produce shows and content, being an expert in the technical aspects of creating episodes and getting them into the app.
• Help promote KGET+ and its shows across platforms.
• Curate and aggregate a steady stream of interesting content packaged and promoted to generate engagement and repeat site visitation.
• Recognize and balance local and Nexstar content into a 24/7 schedule that draws the biggest audience.
• Maintain awareness of all available Nexstar streaming shows and be the quickest to report breaking news stories and trending content.
• Understand different ways to tell a story, particularly producing short videos and choosing great photos.
• Build positive working relationships with newsroom staff and management, working collaboratively on enterprise content, and creating opportunities to market web content on broadcast.
• Train station members in streaming studio operations.
• Oversee the streaming studios production calendar.
• Work with engineering on issues / needs for streaming studios.
• Assist the News Director in hiring, as needed.
• Able to work flexible hours, as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
• Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Repetitive movements are required.
• Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
