About the role
Southern Oregon Sanitation, in Grants Pass, OR is looking for a Part-Time Container Washer to join the team in Grants Pass, OR.
Responsibilities
- Power washing, repairing, and assembling trash bins and containers
- Maintaining an organized yard and inventory tracking
- Manual labor including paper picking, keeping yard clean and presentable
- Working outside in all weather conditions
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Working conditions and physical effort
- Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment 5-panel Drug Screen & Background Check (Required)
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
- Ability to safely operate a power washer and other hand tools as required
- Ability to adhere to work schedule communicated and agreed upon
- Driver's License preferred, but not required
Pay
Starting Pay $19.00/hour
Schedule
Part-Time: Up to 24hrs/week. Create Your Own Flexible Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 8:00am-5:00pm
