About the role

The position’s main responsibility is to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on containers used for national and international shipping distribution. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities

• Follow the Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) guidelines to assure the structural integrity of each intermodal equipment.
• Perform systematic inspections and repairs to intermodal equipment including flat racks and containers.
• Maintain documentation of inspections and repairs performed in the Distribution System Technology (DST) computer database or hand-held computer.
• Perform repairs and restructures on intermodal equipment using a variety of hand and power tools, including Stick and MIG welding.
