Responsibilities
- Perform a broad variety of member services over the phone such as account balances inquiries, transferring funds, calculating interest, helping with card disputes, taking loan payments, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems
- Ensure members are taken care of and know they are a part of a credit union that loves them
- Maintain consistent excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Answer questions and resolve issues patiently
- Utilize product knowledge to use a consultative approach to uncover needs and cross-sell financial products
- Handle frustrated callers with empathy and professionalism
- Refer members to the appropriate department or employee when needed
- Perform related clerical tasks promptly and accurately
- Keep work area clean, secure, and well maintained
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of credit union experience
- Thorough knowledge of member services and financial products provided
- Understanding of member bookkeeping procedures
- Computer and 10-key skills
- Phone skills and etiquette
- Basic math skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good listener with a professional attitude
- Excellent communication and public relations skills
- Tactful and diplomatic
- Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Organized with excellent follow-through
Pay
Competitive wage with the potential to earn a monthly incentive up to $300 or $400, depending on effort and hours worked.

Schedule
Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00pm and some Saturdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
