About the role

The Dispatcher is responsible for responding to inbound calls and requests for service needs by allocating the accurate resources to facilitate the transport of goods and services. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs and coordinates a variety of duties related to dispatch and scheduling.
• Receives calls for service; prioritizes and coordinates the service requests.
• Works closely with management and the dispatch team to communicate needs and ensure timely guest service.
• Handles and maintains all records and documentation of service requests; uses software to log activity.
• Provides customer service and maintains a friendly and effective demeanor toward customers, guests, clients, and co-workers.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in transportation dispatch or related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of software applications.
• Strong social skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
