Consumer Safety Inspector
for sections present: Duties Summary, Requirements, Qualifications, Benefits? The posting includes Duties Summary (first line), then Requirements, then Qualifications (though they are combined). Also there is mention of benefits: $5,000 Sign on Bonus, Creditable Service for Annual Leave Accrual, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, Accelerated Promotion Program, Referral Bonus Awards. Also mention of shifts and species will vary based on assignment, contact info, detail to any shift, etc. Also mention of FSIS description, benefits package, recruitment incentives. We need to include sections only if real specific content. So we can have sections: Duties Summary, Requirements, Qualifications, Benefits (or Incentives), About the Agency? The instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We should map content accordingly.
We have duties summary: includes sign on bonus etc? Actually that's benefits. Duties summary: "Duties Summary $5,000 Sign on Bonus, Creditable Service for Annual Leave Accrual, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, Accelerated Promotion Program, and Referral Bonus Awards are available. Shifts and species will vary based on assignment. For additional information call Laura Hutchison at 919-326-5272 or laura.hutchison@usda.gov Employee may be detailed to any shift at any plant in the Raleigh District."
Thus duties summary includes benefits and contact info. But we should separate benefits into its own section if present. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we could combine duties and benefits? But they said use headings for sections like Benefits if posting actually states them. The posting does state benefits: sign on bonus, etc. So we should have a Benefits section.
Duties: maybe we don't have explicit duty list besides shifts and species vary, detail to any shift. Could be minimal. But we still need a Duties Summary section if there is real content. The posting includes "Duties Summary" heading with content. So we will output Duties Summary
then
with that content (excluding the benefits list? Might be better to keep duties summary as generic duties: Shifts and species will vary based on assignment. Employee may be detailed to any shift at any plant in the Raleigh District. For additional information call Laura Hutchison...). The benefits list we move to Benefits section. Requirements: The posting includes "Requirements Qualifications" then details. We can split into Requirements and Qualifications? But we have separate headings Requirements and Qualifications. The content includes both. We could put all under Requirements (or Qualifications). Since they ask to use headings for Requirements and Qualifications if content exists. We have both. We could put generic requirements under Requirements (like must meet qualifications by closing date) and detailed specialized experience under Qualifications. But the content is intertwined. To avoid duplication, we could have Requirements section with short intro, then Qualifications section with detailed GS levels. We also have Skills? Not explicit. We have Benefits: list of incentives. We have Pay? Not specified (no salary). So we should not create Pay section. Schedule? Not specified (shifts vary). Could be considered schedule but it's vague. The instruction: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. It does state shifts and species will vary based on assignment, and employee may be detailed to any shift. That's schedule info. So we could create a Schedule section with that info. However they said prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. Schedule info is minimal but still specific. Could include under Duties Summary. But we already have Duties Summary with shift info. Might be okay. We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. Not present. We need to preserve all substantive info. Let's extract content: Duties Summary (original): "Duties Summary $5,000 Sign on Bonus, Creditable Service for Annual Leave Accrual, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, Accelerated Promotion Program, and Referral Bonus Awards are available. Shifts and species will vary based on assignment. For additional information call Laura Hutchison at 919-326-5272 or laura.hutchison@usda.gov Employee may be detailed to any shift at any plant in the Raleigh District." We'll separate benefits: "$5,000 Sign on Bonus, Creditable Service for Annual Leave Accrual, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, Accelerated Promotion Program, and Referral Bonus Awards are available." Duties: "Shifts and species will vary based on assignment. For additional information call Laura Hutchison at 919-326-5272 or laura.hutchison@usda.gov Employee may be detailed to any shift at any plant in the Raleigh District." But contact info maybe not duty; could be kept in duties or separate? Probably keep in duties. Now Requirements: "Requirements Qualifications You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below." We can put that as Requirements section intro. Qualifications: detailed GS-5, GS-7, GS-8, GS-9 requirements. We also have description of FSIS and benefits package etc. That could be under About the Agency or Benefits? The instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. There's no About the role but we could use About the role for agency description. However they said "use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we can use those headings if content exists. We have agency description: "The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is the agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) responsible for protecting the public's health by ensuring the safety of the Nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and processed egg products. USDA is a great place to start or continue your career. For more information visit FSIS. A career with the U.S. Government provides employees with a comprehensive benefits package. As a federal employee, you and your family will have access to a range of benefits that are designed to make your federal career very rewarding. Learn more about federal benefits."
That's more about benefits and agency. Could be placed under About the role (or Benefits). Since we already have Benefits section for incentives, we could put agency description under About the role.
Also there is mention of recruitment incentives: FSIS offers various recruitment incentives... that's part of Benefits.
Thus sections:
- About the role: agency description.
- Duties Summary: shift info, contact.
- Requirements: must meet qualifications by closing date.
- Qualifications: GS-5 through GS-9 details.
- Benefits: list of incentives (sign on bonus, etc.) plus maybe mention of comprehensive benefits package? But we already have agency description about benefits. Could combine.
We need to avoid thin sections. Maybe combine About the role and Benefits? But they are distinct.
Let's decide:
About the role: agency description and general federal benefits.
Duties Summary: shift/species vary, contact info, detail to any shift.
Requirements: must meet qualifications by closing date.
Qualifications: GS-5 to GS-9 details.
Benefits: $5,000 Sign on Bonus, Creditable Service for Annual Leave Accrual, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, Accelerated Promotion Program, Referral Bonus Awards.
We should not repeat job title.
Now format: Use for each heading. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. For Benefits we have a list; we can make
. For Qualifications we have multiple GS levels; could be a list. For Requirements maybe just a paragraph.
We need to preserve all substantive info; not invent.
