About the role

The Children's Recovery Center is seeking an experienced and passionate Consumer Recovery Specialist to join our dedicated team in the Norman area. This position will conduct groups with consumers on various recovery topics, document the group accurately, routinely conduct peer reviews regarding the quality of group notes, and serve as a consistent and positive role model for the consumers entrusted to our care.

Schedule

Full-time, 8-hour evening shifts (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm). Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Pay

Starting salary is $35,547.20 per year ($17.09 per hour) plus shift differentials for evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays. This position is non-exempt under the FLSA.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older (DHS requirement)
  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and two years of relevant experience
  • Upon conditional offer, must pass a physical examination demonstrating the ability to occasionally lift/carry 65 pounds and push/pull a maximum force of 25 pounds
  • Upon conditional offer, must pass a drug and alcohol pre-employment urinalysis (safety-sensitive position)

About the facility

The Children’s Recovery Center of Oklahoma (CRC), located in Norman, serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for youth ages 13 through 17. CRC provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma-related conditions.
