Consumer Protection Litigation and Compliance Associate
About the role
Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking an associate with three to six years of litigation experience to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct witness interviews
- Draft and argue pleadings and motions
- Manage cases on a day-to-day basis
- Handle discovery and litigation discovery disputes
- Provide an integrated and cohesive approach covering all aspects of consumer protection law
- Work collaboratively across offices and industry sectors
Requirements
- Three to six years of experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities
- Enthusiasm for working in a team environment
- Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice
Benefits
The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. Additional medical, financial and/or other benefits will be offered dependent on the position.
