Responsibilities

  • Underwrite all consumer (non-mortgage) loan products following underwriting guidelines, loan policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate loan structures, determine appropriateness of underwriting guideline exceptions or overrides, and provide member-centric credit solutions while managing credit risk.
  • Make credit decisions within individual lending authority or by endorsing approvals for decisions requiring supervisor approval.
  • Work with loan operations teams to ensure a seamless, end-to-end process from application to booking.
  • Review application documentation, verify completeness, and obtain proper approval for loan.
  • Communicate credit decisions to member-facing parties and assist with counter-offers and declines.
  • Ensure consumer loans are policy compliant and track exceptions or overrides.
  • Adhere to service level agreements and work with Loan Operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of loan packages and funding of loans.
  • Answer credit questions and resolve problems raised by internal and external parties.
  • Assist other lending teams as needed based on expertise.
  • Develop and implement new consumer loan products and promotions.
  • Support the development of lending business plans and strategies.
  • Review competitor offerings and provide input in lending business plans.
  • Manage credit scoring standards and recommend changes to credit scoring parameters.
  • Work with service vendors on system problems and solutions.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of system-related software.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

Pay

$22.80 to $28.50 per hour based on skills and experience.
