As a Consumer Lending Sales Specialist (CLSS), you will deliver exceptional customer service while achieving individual and branch sales goals in a performance-based, hands-on environment. This role actively contributes to branch success through sales, marketing, and compliance efforts, all while adhering to federal and state regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Drive customer acquisition through storefront and online channels using effective sales tools and marketing techniques.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience while managing a growing consumer loan portfolio.
- Present tailored financial solutions aligned with customer goals and needs.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Educate customers on loan terms, conditions, and product features.
- Execute and track community marketing initiatives to generate growth.
- Demonstrate company core values and purpose while building trust with customers and staff.
- Support branch financial objectives and performance metrics.
- Maintain strict adherence to company policies, state and federal regulations.
- Ensure accurate cash controls and security procedures.
- Maintain precise customer documentation and transaction records.
- Conduct and document collection activities.
- Follow Loss Prevention (LP) Standards.
- Foster a positive team environment while supporting colleagues to enhance customer experience.
- Actively participate in branch initiatives and contribute to overall branch success through collaborative teamwork.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Sales and/or customer service experience required; one year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to count cash.
- Professional verbal communication by phone and in person.
- Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply complex and detailed information.
- Ability to work alone on occasion.
- Professional social skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to negotiate payment terms and communicate loan requirements clearly.
- Understanding of and ability to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing the industry.
- Proficiency in computer programs required to process customer transactions.
- Ability to follow procedures in the normal course of business.
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Must be 18 years or older (19 in AL), eligible to work in the USA, and able to pass a criminal background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Valid driver’s license and access to insured, reliable transportation for tasks including banking, marketing, and staffing coverage within the division.
- Ability to travel within the division for marketing, staffing, special events, and banking responsibilities.
- Regular and punctual attendance; schedules may change to accommodate business needs, and overtime may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods of time; sitting occasionally; walking; bending; squatting; kneeling; pushing/pulling.
- Frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Typing, data entry, and use of office equipment including computers.
- Grasping and transferring items between hands and/or to another person or receptacle.
- Housekeeping/cleaning duties (e.g., vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, bathrooms) including exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to be physically present at and complete the requirements of the position at any branch within the division.
- Exposure to outdoor elements as encountered in daily life.
