Consumer Finance Litigation Associate
About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate with three to five years of relevant experience. This position is open to candidates residing and licensed in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, New York, or Ohio, though candidates from other states are considered.
Responsibilities
- Defending financial services companies in both state and federal courts
- Working with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit
- Representing mortgage servicers and/or originators in contested foreclosures, quiet title actions, title disputes, and related claims
- Having a working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and other federal and state consumer protection statutes

Pay
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Washington, D.C. is $200,000 - $230,000, and in Minnesota and Vermont is $210,000 - $225,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
